In a discovery that local media have dubbed the ‘Catalan Altamira’, an extraordinary trove of 15,000-year-old carvings, depicting dozens of animals, has been found in a cave in northeast Spain’s Tarragona region. Syrian Army Blitzes Through Militants’ Defenses West Of Al-Eis Liberating Several Towns

On February 8, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) continued its advance towards the town of al-Eis in Aleppo’s southwestern countryside. The army’s elite 25th Special Forces Division overrun most of the remaining militants’ defenses west of al-Eis, imposing control of the towns of Maryudah, Tell Bajir, Kusiniya, al-Shiekh Ahmad, Abu Kannseh, Umm Atabah, Rasm al-Eis, Rasm al-Saharij and Jub Kas.
