🔴 Live: Madison Square Garden welcomes first visitors since the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic

New York City’s Madison Square Garden reopens to visitors on Tuesday, February 23 for the first time since its closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.
The stadium will be operating at 10 percent capacity with social distancing protocols in place to ensure fans safety. The first games to be played in front of a live audience will be the New York Knicks on Tuesday and the New York Rangers several days later. The Knicks reported that tickets to their first game with in-person fans allowed were sold within 30 minutes after the release.
The reopening of MSG takes place after New York governor Andrew Cuomo announced last week that stadiums would be allowed to reopen in New York provided they follow strict safety measures.
