Worldwide coronavirus infections pass 115 million

Capitals, SANA- The total number of the coronavirus infections has climbed to 115,779,777 people worldwide. According to the American Worldometers website, which tracks the developments of the virus, the total number of coronavirus fatalities worldwide has climbed to 2, 572,006, while the recoveries have amounted to 91, 483,468. In India, 17,407 new coronavirus infections were recorded on Thursday, taking the total number of infections to 11, 156,923, while the fatalities have reached up to 157,435 with a daily increase of 89 cases. Iranian Innovation and Technology Center opened in Damascus

Damascus, SANA- Iranian Innovation and Technology Center was opened on Wednesday in Damascus Free Zone. Health Ministry to launch nationwide anti-polio vaccination campaign next Sunday

Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry on Sunday will launch the first nationwide anti-polio vaccination campaign, and it will target children under-5 years of age regardless of their previous vaccinations. In a statement, the Ministry said that the campaign will start next Sunday March 7 and it will last till March 11, adding that it will be carried out at the health centers in different provinces and through mobile teams along with taking all the required precautionary measures against the novel coronavirus pandemic. Coronavirus death toll exceeds 2 million and 542 worldwide

Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus has claimed the lives of more than two million and 542 thousand people worldwide since its appearance in December last year according to the latest statistics by the American Worldometers website. Health Ministry: 41 new coronavirus cases recorded, 82 cases recover, 3 pass away

Damascus, SANA- Health Ministry announced that 41 new coronavirus cases were registered in the country, 82 patients infected with the virus have recovered while 3 others have passed away. In a statement on Friday evening, the Ministry said that the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country climbed to 14765 of which 8520 cases recovered and 971 passed away. US occupation brings in troops and shoulder-fired missiles to its illegitimate base in Hasaka countryside

Hasaka, SANA-US occupation forces moved troops and military equipment to their bases in Hasaka countryside, coming from the Iraqi territories, with four helicopters landing in al-Shaddadi base. Local sources told SANA reporter that four helicopters affiliated to the US occupation forces, landed on Saturday in the illegitimate base in al-Shaddadi city. Infighting among Turkish occupation mercenaries renews in Ras al-Ayn

Hasaka, SANA-Infighting  among the Turkish occupation mercenaries renewed as clashes erupted on Saturday among them in Ras al-Ayn city in Hasaka western countryside. Health Ministry: 69 new coronavirus cases recorded, 65 patients recover, 5 pass away 

Damascus, SANA- The Health Ministry on Monday announced that 69 new coronavirus cases were recorded, adding that 65 coronavirus patients recovered and five others passed away. In a statement, the Ministry noted that the total number of coronavirus cases recorded in Syria has reached 13,697, of which 7,121 have recovered and 890 have passed away. The first coronavirus case was recorded in Syrian on March 22nd last year in a person who came from abroad, while the first coronavirus death was registered on the 29th of the same month.
