Bolivia: Archaeological remains from 1,500 years ago found in Tiwanaku

Bolivian President Luis Arce participated in the presentation of several archaeological remains in Tiwanaku on Tuesday.

The discovered objects belonged to a ceremonial offering more than 1,500 years old and were found by Bolivian archaeologists in the main temple of Tiwanaku.

“These pieces that we are presenting today are not only from Tiwanaku, they are from Bolivia,” said Bolivian Minister of Culture Sabina Orellana, also present at the ceremony.

Of a total of 45 remains, only 15 could be exhibited, including vessels, ceramics, stone knives, textile remains, stone-carved faces of deities, and goldsmithing.
