Mass COVID-19 testing has begun in Shijiazhuang, in the northern Chinese province of Hebei, on Wednesday, after the city of 11 million people went under lockdown in response to a new coronavirus outbreak.
People can be seen queuing and being tested for the second round of mass testing aimed at covering all residents in Shijiazhuang city, which began on Tuesday.
Volunteers and medical workers were deployed at the testing facilities to make sure people were adhering to social distancing before registering for the test.
Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei province in northern China, was placed under lockdown as all major roads and motorways in the city have been temporarily closed to restrain citizens within the city where over 100 new cases of COVID-19 were reported earlier on the week.
On Monday tens of thousands of people in Hebei province were reportedly transferred to quarantined locations after a fresh outbreak of COVID-19 was announced.
