The Italian Council of Ministers convened at the Palazzo Chigi in Rome on Tuesday evening, to hold a meeting on the country’s recovery plan.
Italy’s Minister of Sports Vincenzo Spadafora told journalists “I think that everyone can still make a gesture of responsibility. There are conditions to do so,” as he was seen arriving on the premises.
A new draft detailing Italy’s spending of €209 billion ($255 billion) of EU grants and low-interest loans that the country would get amid the bloc’s COVID-19 recovery efforts was reportedly circulated ahead of the cabinet meeting.
It is not known yet whether the governing parties will sign off on the plan at the meeting.
