Egypt: Egyptian, German, French and Jordanian foreign ministers meet to discuss Palestinian-Israeli peace process

The Foreign Ministers of France, Jordan, Germany and Egypt met to discuss Palestinian-Israeli peace process in Cairo, as part of the Munich Group framework, on Monday.

During the press conference, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry welcomed the revived negotiations, stating a joint statement was reached, which detailed the next steps they will take in regards to the resumed negotiations.

He added, “We will continue to work in a coordinated and serious manner in order to achieve these goals.”

French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian stated thanked Soukry for hosting the event, adding the next meeting between the Munich group will take place in Paris stressing, “The frequency of these meetings symbolises our determination to continue this initiative on an important issue, which is the Palestinian-Israeli issue. “
