Relatives of the Sriwijaya Air Boeing 737-500 crash victims submitted DNA samples and document at the National Police Hospital in Jakarta on Tuesday to help the identification of remains retrieved from the crash site.
Around 60 bags containing body parts were reportedly handed over to authorities.
Family members had to undergo a rapid COVID antigen test on site before submitting their DNA.
The Boeing 737 carrying 62 people crashed after take-off from Indonesia’s capital Jakarta on Saturday.
Search operations are still underway for the black boxes.
