Ruptly is live from Washington DC on Wednesday,January 6, as tensions reach close to boiling point after supporters of US President Donald Trump managed to storm the US Capitol building, where the Congress was convening to formally certify Joe Biden as the next President of the United States. One person has been shot inside the building, according to local reports.
Both Senate and House have since stopped their proceedings.
According to reports, DC National guard has been activated.
