🔴 Live: UK House of Commons recalled to vote on country’s agreement with EU

Britain’s House of Commons has been recalled to sit on Wednesday, December 30, to debate and vote on legislation implementing the government’s recently signed trade and cooperation agreement with the EU to make it on time before the end of the Brexit transition period deadline on December 31.
It is expected that the deal will get approval after the leader of the opposition Sir Keir Starmer confirmed the Labour party would back the deal when it reaches Parliament.
The European Parliament is expected to hold a ratification vote early next year. Until the formal approval on both sides, the deal will be applied provisionally.
The UK Parliament is currently in Christmas recess and MPs were not due to return until January 5.
